Rental conditions

Read the basic conditions of car rental, as well as additional information relating to the rental vehicle. If you have uncertainties do not hesitate to contact us.

Papers required to fulfill the contract

Physical entity :

  • passport or personal ID
  • drivers license
  • the minimum age of the driver at the time of the rental is 19 years old with valid driver’s license for at least 1 year
  • the minimum age of the driver for higher class vehicles, SUV vehicles or 7 and more seats vehicles is 25 years, with valid driver’s license for at least 1 year

Legal entity:

  • trade license or trade register abstractt
  • personal ID or drivers license of person using the car
  • verified authorization for contract subscribe and taking the car, if the contract is subscribed by different person, than the one, listed in trade register, or trade license

Rental length

  • shortest rental period is 1 day (24 hours)

Payment conditions

The payment (the total price inc. VAT) for the rent is being done by cash or by card (but we don’t accept American express and Dinners Club) in EUR currency to our representative when you will receive the car.

The deposit needs to be paid by card. The amount of the deposit is usually based on the amount of the minimum deductible according to the category of the given vehicle. The deposit will be paid back upon returning undamaged car. The deposit will be unblocked after car return. We accept credit / debit cards.

Journey abroad

With a rented vehicle from our car rental company, it is possible to drive in the following countries: Select countries you plan to visit with the car Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Slovenia. The possibility to visit other countries must be requested and approved by the lessor. The countries you plan to visit must be listed in the rental agreement, or you can mark all the countries when making an online reservation.

It is not allowed to travel to the following countries with a rented vehicle from Abrix: Albania, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Finland, France, Great Britain, Greece, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine and all countries outside Europe.

Insurance

Included in the rental charge are all statutory motor vehicle insurances, including third-party liability insurance and accident insurance for the driver and the owner, together with a Collision Damage Waiver (CDW). The deductible payable by the lessee in the event of damage to the vehicle shall amount to 10% from repair of the vehicle, minimum 200 eur. The lessee can purchase extra insurance through the Super Collision Damage Waiver (Super CDW) insurance according to the price-list. Extra insurance (SCDW) is concluded by the payment of a fee according to the price list. Extra insurance (SCDW) removes the obligation to pay the deductible in case of damage, when general term and conditions of lessor and insurance company was observed. The Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Super Collision Damage Waiver (Super CDW) do not cover:

  • Damages caused intentionally or due to the gross negligence of the driver.
  • Damages resulting from the driver being under the influence of alcohol, stimulants or sedatives or being otherwise incapable of controlling the vehicle safely.
  • Damages due to racing or test driving.
  • Damages due to war, revolution, rioting or public unrest.
  • Damages caused by animals.
  • Holes burned into seats, carpets or floor mats.
  • Damages affecting only wheels, tyres, suspensions, batteries, glass, windows, radio, as well as damages caused by theft of individual parts of the vehicle and damages resulting therefrom.
  • Damages caused by driving on rough roads, such as to the gear-box, drive and other parts in or under the chassis, damages to the chassis caused by scraping over uneven surfaces such as ridges left by road graders, protruding rocks on the roads or at the edge of the roads. The same applies to damage from stones being thrown up and striking the underside of the vehicle during driving.
  • Damages that are caused in places where the vehicle is not permitted to be driven, such as on tracks, rough trails, in snowdrifts or on ice, driving across unbridged rivers or brooks, on beaches, through water shoals or off road. However, the insurance compensates for damages that are caused when the driver is forced to leave the main road due to repairs of the road.
  • Damages caused by sand, gravel, ash or pumice or other earth materials that are blown onto the vehicle.
  • Water damage to the vehicle.
  • If the vehicle is transported by sea, damages caused by sea-water are not compensated.
  • Total damage of the car
  • Loss/lockout of the key of the car
  • Loss of the ID of the car
  • Refueling the car with the wrong type of the fue
  • Damage of tires or interior of the vehicle

In case any of this happened, the deductible would be according to the price issued to our company for solving the issue. As we don’t know the amount of damage in advance.
